Where does the information in the Wall of Honor database come from?
Any individual or group can
add a family name to The
American Immigrant Wall of Honor through their donation to
The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation. Arrivals from any year, any point of entry, and by any mode of transportation can be honored on this memorial wall. In addition to the Wall inscription, for each name registered on the Wall of Honor, donors have the opportunity to provide additional biographical information which is preserved as part of the Honoree's record.
Country of Origin,
Year of Arrival,
Port of Entry, and
Name of Ship are among the data elements which may be provided by the donor as part of each Honoree's record.
